O novo Estado Neoweberiano é a iteração contemporânea e atual da Administração Pública Weberiana – praticamente, teoricamente e normativamente. As atualizações de Geert Bouckaert mostram de maneira convincente que tanto o Estado Neoweberiano como a administração pública weberiana original possui os recursos para abordar questões contemporâneas, tanto do desenvolvimento teórico-acadêmico da administração pública como dos desafios éticos associados a ela. Para ilustrar isso, o presente ensaio discute primeiro as várias formas de weberianismo e a suas relações entre si; em seguida, aborda a relação entre o Estado Neoweberiano e a New Public Management (NPM); e, por fim, trata da ligação da Administração Pública weberiana em todas as suas formas com a boa Administração Pública.
